Maternity Care

We offer shared care (your doctor, midwife, and hospital team) during your pregnancy. You will be looked after by your midwife regularly in the surgery along with visits to hospital two or three times in the pregnancy unless your condition necesitates more frequent visits to hospital

Antenatal clinics are on Mondays between 1.30 pm to 4 pm.

After 5pm you can contact the ‘on call’ midwfe by telephoning 01915656256. Ask for ‘delivery suite’.

Important: NICE (National Institute for Health & Care Excellence)  recommends folic acid tablets (400 micrograms, 5 mg in certain conditions) when you are trying for pregnancy and continue to take for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. NICE also recommends vitamin D 10 micrograms per day  (as found in ‘healthy start multivitamin supplement’ ) during pregnancy.
